In 2000, I began my education and work in the mental health field as an intern still in my undergraduate program. I was surrounded by professors, masters of their craft, seasoned therapists, and fellow passionate learners. I studied the theories, wrote the papers, and took the tests, but most importantly I had an experience. Those experiences left an imprint on me. Even now, so many years later, I can still hear their voices guiding and supporting me. I have continued to seek new experiences and teachers since then, exploring the various ways I may be best suited to help others. I have had the privilege of partnering with those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, disordered eating, and relationships of all kinds. Along the way, I have done my own internal work and reflection which thankfully never ends. This happens not just through my own therapy, but also through meditation, journaling, walking in the woods and finding inspiration in the arts. My relationships with friends, family and especially with my partner and the two wonderful people we get to raise are my greatest teachers. Loving them and being loved has created the fertile ground for my own rooted reach.
